Building a free solar panel system to power your home

Solar Electricity is doable so long as you pick the right solar company and strategy

How many of us have checked into solar only to find that it is impossible to successfully do because of the enormous expense. Just the amount of solar panels and batteries you would need to power your refrigerator would be out of most peoples budget and the time it would take to recoup the investment would be quite awhile. You would be looking at spending around $20,000 for the energy you would need to power your refrigerator all year long. That is a big investment!

Because solar is this expensive most people immediately start looking elsewhere for a green energy approach that costs less. Wind turbines and vegetable oil generators are a couple ways of doing it for less. Before we steer clear of solar for good there has been a new more affordable way to retrofit your house with solar and it actually be an affordable solution. There is a solar panel manufacturer that will retrofit your house with solar panels they produce for only a $500 deposit. The way this manufacturer can get away with charging so little is that you have to pay the manufacturer for the solar energy it produces. The manufacturer tries to keep the electric rate you pay them similar to what you would pay your Retail Electric Provider. If the solar panel infrastructure they put on your house gets destroyed that will not be a problem. The company will maintain it for free. If something goes wrong, they fix it, at their expense.

This program is known as the Citizenre program.

There is a web presence for this online that will help you get started in the sign up process.

Solar can be free because their is a profit incentive to make it free

Solar has never been affordable but so many people think harnessing the suns energy is a great green way to go. It makes sense, because you have all of this heat from the sun going to waiste otherwise. It would be nice if solar was affordable so you could use this energy and do away with coal fired power plants and other pollution causing generation plants. In the past even if you were to invest in solar to try and save money you would end up losing your money then if you had of placed it in a money market account instead. So we have practically no one who really is all that interested in solar in order to save money on their energy bill. The Citizenre program however attempts to make this power source affordable to the masses.

Solar has many new inventions in the horizon. We have over 5 different companies who have a business model devoted to making a solar product that is affordable enough to have those who invest in it actually save money on their electricity. That would mean the cost involved in purchasing their solar kit is not cost prohibitive. Citizenre has a rental program where they will install the system for you and you basically rent it from them while paying them for the electricity. Also remember this company will fix for free any problem along the way. Film based solar cells at a super thin size will eventually make solar panels affordable for everyone. New solar panels built out of plastic will take up more space but will be about 10 times cheaper to build then conventional solar panels. A new mirror technology that harnesses more of the sun rays and beams them onto the solar panels will make solar more efficient. Solar appears to have a bright and less expensive future.

If this is not for you but you like the idea of being updated regarding the latest news and information about solar power in Texas than we would like to recommend the resource we use. This company obviously hopes you will eventually become their customer but in the meantime they are great at sending out relevant information on new solar panel technology as it hits the Texas market.

Also feel free to ask about their free solar panel site survey where they come out to your property to put together a quote on how much it will cost to install a solar system at your house. They may be able to give you a preliminary review and quote on the phone without needing to come to your home. The companies name is ESS Solar and they can be reached by clicking on the banner below.

Good info but could you please email me sources and plans so I can get started ASAP?
    Thanks

Stupid idea ! Pay $500 for opportunity to buy electricity from this company by putting at risk my own house ! What do i get for that ? Forget it !

  3. Rainey

I checked out this program and they are actually running it like a MLM. They have independent distributors who are called ecopreneurs who try to get you to install they systems and sign a 25 year contract to purchase the electricity produced by their panels. The ecopreneurs try to recruit others to make money off of their sales and it goes down like 5 levels. I guess it was only a matter of time before someone created a MLM out of going green.

  4. I am retired and worry my electric bill will go to the point I can't pay for it. I don't have $30,000 to purchase a solar system. Citizenre will install solar for $500 refundable deposit and pay me interest. My rental will be $80 a month for 1,5, or 25 years. I chose to lock in my bill for 25years. If I share this solar program with other folks and they decide to go green then, my bill will get a 5% credit for that customers monthly bill. I can actually have a zero electric bill for 25 years !
Citizenre offers the opportunity for me to have a monthly income if I share their solar program with other folks that need to save on their electric bill. I decided to be a ecopreneur to help others, help the environment and, create a monthly residual income. I am grateful and thankful to be a part if Citizenre's wonderful concept to upgrade America's homeowners to clean affordable solar power.

Thank you Citizenre, Mike T http://www.jointhesolution.com/solar-man

I think this is a great idea, except for the 25 yr contract. I'm tired of seeing the money I pay for electricity or anything go to pay for corporate jets or commercial advertising. Most people are network marketers, they just don't get paid for it. When was the last time you saw a movie and recommended it to a friend. Did you get a check for any amount of money? I didn't. I do get paid in my mlm businesess whether I refer someone or someone else refers someone. I get paid instead of the advertisers.

My family and I have been looking into solar energy for a while now we are tired of paying anywhere between 400.00 up to 900.00 a month for our elecricty. I am intrested in anything you can send me to see if this is possible we are looking at both solar and wind we live in an area where we always have wind and there are no trees so no blocking the sun. Please contact me to see if we can work together.

  7. Cowboy

Hey Mysticfire– If you find out how to do a wind solar combo that really works & is not super expensive please post– I too am looking for a system to install in a 4-plex I'm going to build at the ranch to start my Bed & Breakfast for the nature& birding community.

how much would a solar kit for a normal household cost?i'd also like the total set-up cost.

  9. I'm from Shreveport LOUISIANA and I have four (4) kids as a single parent and I'm searching for something to help Me save energy and money. It's been hard to find out how to get free solar system service for this area. I think this could be a start in the right directions. Can anyone out there help Me?

  10. Elliander

It is almost a good idea, but not quite. If, instead of a rental, it was a "Rent to buy" system, where after a period of time it becomes mine to own that would come with a warrenty period beyond that point then I would go for it in a heart beat. And even if it wasn't, if it wasn't for such a long term contract I would still consider it as an alternative, but I have plans to someday own my own solar panel so if I am stuck with their system on my roof I would have no room to put my own up, so basically this just is not for me.

with all of the write offs their are your solar panels could pay for themselves in 5 years. take out a loan and load the south side of your house. if you have a barn even better. that company is making a lot of money off of you. thier are many sites that tell you about the write offs….look into it

  13. Kellie

The problem I see here is that the average American can no longer afford the high costs of electricity. The average person is looking to save the cost and the environment. If I had to pay the same as I do now, which is one of the highest in the country what would be the biggest incentive. We have been active already in reducing emissions. We are bike riders, we changed our bulbs, we compost. I want to harness the sun and put my kids through college!

  14. Kris

This sounds like a scam. I want to put in solar panels to harness the free energy of the sun, or wind generators to use the free power of the wind. Damn if I'm going to pay someone for mother nature's free benefits. Why should I pay this company for the "free" sun power, while renting their panels? If my costs don't go down, there really are no savings to doing this. Someone is making a ton of money out of this.

Solar might not be cost effective for most peoples energy requirements. Drop me an email and I will glady discuss all the feasible options and alternative energy products that can really help.

The sun is the people's so why do we have to pay anyone for it. Just give us the setup for a low near nothing price and the electricity is free from our sun.

  17. Can you forward the plans and any other information to allow us to view the possibility of servicing our home.

    Thank you

  18. Howdy,
It has been a long time since I have hit the blogs about Citizenre and am happy to say there is some great news!
After a lot of passion and dedication of those of us who did not give up on the mission to bring renewable energy to the masses we have now got what we need to really make a difference.
We had a press Release this morning and I am happy to share three of the links where you can read about recent developments:
    http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Citizenre-Signs-Development-Agreement-1392962.htm
    http://newsblaze.com/story/2011020906124600002.mwir/topstory.html
    http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Citizenre-Signs-Development-iw-1095316263.html?x=0
We are finally doing what we started out to do even tho’ we had to make many changes.
Our plan is now even simpler… there is no longer a deposit required and all it takes to get a system is to be a home-owner in one of our service areas, have a home suitable for solar power, and the first month’s rent.
No credit checks and a fixed rate for 10-years so many citizens can produce their own clean green energy.
WE will be adding new service territories as time progresses.
    Peace,
    Frank Knight
P.S. I have literally over 400 blogs to post to that basically wanted not to hear from us until there was some serious action so you may see this same message repeated… I certainly don’t have time to make individual posts right now and will have many hours just copying and re-posting!
