Startex Promotional Code

Startex Power residential has a 3 month, 6 month, 8 month, 1 year, 24 month, 36 month, and a month to month electric rate plan. If you have been considering using Startex Power for your residential electricity you would be making a wise decision as they compare as one of the very lowest electric rates out there right now if you were to compare them with some of the other competitive electric providers in the Texas market. Another positive thing about this company is that they have yet to do something unethical such as hide additional fees in their electric rate. You will not be charged a monthly customer service fee and the rate is as straightforward as it could be.

One caution however is to not sign up on the promotional month to month rate unless you understand it first. The first month you will pay a very low rate in the 9 cent range but every month after that you will be a about 2 to 3 cents higher then that as it follows a variable market spot rate. This rate is variable and you are not locked into a contract which is a good plan if you are not wanting to be in a contract. Otherwise, the only way to get a consistent low electric rate in Texas is to lock in on some type of monthly term fixed rate.

Update: The Startex Power promo code is no longer available: Startex Power – online signup

  1. ONE GIANT PROBLEM WITH STAR TEX IS THEIR CONTIUNED DISCONNECT NOTICES AND THREAT TO ADD A DELIQUENCY TO YOUR CREDIT, STAY CLEAR OF STAR TEX, AND WE HAVE NOT SAVED ANY MONEY…….NOT WORTH THE THREATS THE HASSLES….STAY CLEAR!

Usually disconnect notices are sent when bills remain unpaid. I've never gotten a disconnect notice from StarTex…but I pay my bills, and on time, no less.

ya well weve had it since 09 and so ready for a change, every month it goes higher and higher. from .11 kwh to .15 Are You Serious….. 600 dollar electric bills for a three bedroom. totally too much money…

Rhonda, It sounds like you are off contract. I always recommend to all our customers to choose a fixed electric rate term and renew or shop around for a new fixed price when that term expires. When you are on a variable price the provider can sometimes arbitrarily raise that price on you for whatever reason they deem necessary.
