January 2008 Texas Historical Electric Rate Chart

For those who are interested we have a chart showing what electric rates have done over the last year. The rates listed here are for high load factor usage accounts. If you use less energy then this then you can still use the chart to show the trend of Texas electric rates over the year.

January 2008 Historical Electric Rates

As of January 8 2007 a high load factor account can lock in a 12 month fixed electric rate at 8.4 cents a kWh. In January rates have spiked up quite a bit from an annual historical low point they hit the last few weeks of the year. It looks like rates will be heading back up for the winter although they may bounce off the support level line one more time.
