PRESS RELEASE – September 3rd, 2013
A major peer-reviewed paper by four senior researchers has exposed grave errors in an earlier paper in a new and unknown journal that had claimed a 97.1% scientific consensus that Man had caused at least half the 0.7 Cº global warming since 1950.
A tweet in President Obama’s name had assumed that the earlier, flawed paper, by John Cook and others, showed 97% endorsement of the notion that climate change is dangerous:
“Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree: #climate change is real, man-made and dangerous.” [Emphasis added]
The new paper by the leading climatologist Dr David Legates and his colleagues, published in the respected Science and Education journal, now in its 21st year of publication, reveals that Cook had not considered whether scientists and their published papers had said climate change was “dangerous”.

Should Texas have all of their coal power plants shutdown by the EPA with the justification that the 3 % human made portion of the CO2 trace atmosphere gas is dangerously warming our climate?
I don’t think so, especially considering none of the alarmists predictions come true. Who would believe them anymore especially considering the 97 % consensus propaganda is really only a 0.3 % consensus?
Environmentalism is a very seductive political topic considering that voters have allowed the EPA to come after Texas coal power in a regulatory move that will triple electric rates for everyone in the state.
Be sure to vote No against any future ObamaAir tax or similar EPA regulation on essential services like electricity service. These politicians have already shown themselves to be globalists with their implementation of UN CO2 regulations. We should not support a globalist agenda to redistribute our states wealth across the country or the world at the expense of Texas families.
